 About Snug

Snug Pet Co. is an Australian treat brand for dogs & cats. Every recipe is meat first, with no grains and no nasties, made to go straight in the trolley with the rest of the everyday shop. We're new around here. Nice to meet you.

Snug is a new brand from the same team behind Bell & Bone.

Snug is proudly Aussie made.

The treats

We make three ranges.

For dogs: Healthy Treats in Chicken with Apple and Lamb with Carrot, and Snaps in Kangaroo with Pumpkin, Beef with Pear and Salmon with Coconut.

For cats: Healthy Treats in Chicken with Carrot, Salmon with Sardine and Tuna with Apple.

It means the first ingredient on every Snug label is meat or fish.

Ingredients are listed by weight, so first means most. That's 38% chicken, lamb, salmon or tuna meal in Healthy Treats, and 34% kangaroo, beef or salmon meal in Snaps.

Chicken meal is chicken that's been cooked, dried and ground. Taking the water out leaves a concentrated source of protein, which is why it sits first on our label. Same goes for our lamb, beef, kangaroo, salmon and tuna meals.

Glycerine holds onto moisture. It's what keeps a treat chewy instead of dry and crumbly, and it's common in soft pet treats.

Yes. All eight recipes, dog and cat

Snug Healthy Treats, for dogs and cats, have pre + postbiotics in every treat. Snug Snaps don't, they're a chew, made with chia seeds, flaxseed oil and coconut instead.

We tested Snug on 106 of the fussiest critics in Australia, 53 dogs and 53 cats, over a 14-day trial. Nine in 10 ate it every day, and 94% of owners said they'd switch or consider switching.

Check the label against anything your pet reacts to, every ingredient is listed. Worth knowing up front: all Snug Healthy Treats contain beef liver and egg yolk, and every Snug recipe contains porcine plasma. If your pet has a diagnosed allergy or health condition, ask your vet first, and introduce any new treat slowly.

It depends on the treat.

Snug Snaps are puppy safe from 10 weeks old.

Snug Healthy Treats, for dogs or cats, are for pets & puppies/kittens from 4 months old. Start small, and count treats as part of their daily food.

Go by the feeding guide on the back of each pack, set by your pet's weight. As a rule of paw, treats should be no more than 10% of what your pet eats in a day.
