So when our first Cat Dental Bites didn't win over every cat, we couldn't ignore it. They were good for teeth. Plenty of cats loved them. But plenty of cats didn't, and a dental treat only works if it actually gets eaten.

What Changed in Our New Cat Dental Bites
Three things changed. We re-did the flavours so they taste better, we changed the texture so they crunch instead of crumble, and we made them heart shaped, because we love them to bits and wanted their treats to say so 💜
Tastier Flavours
The new range comes in three flavours: Chicken with Pumpkin, Salmon with Charcoal and Tuna with Coconut. We reworked each one so the taste is stronger, because a dental treat only works if your cat comes back for the second one.
A Smaller Bite Built for a Cat's Mouth
The bite itself is smaller than the first version, which makes it far easier for a small mouth to hold and work on. The chewy, crunchy texture helps scrape off plaque and tartar with every bite, so daily dental care starts to feel a little more like treat time.
What We Kept the Same in Our Cat Dental Treats
Everything else stayed exactly where it was. Every recipe still leads with real meat, made with ingredients you can see and smell, and is still scientifically formulated with active ingredients that work on your cat's mouth while they eat.
Plenty of Real Meat
Chicken with Pumpkin leads with 31% chicken meal. Salmon with Charcoal and Tuna with Coconut each lead with 29% of their named fish. All three then have chicken liver at 10%, so the first two ingredients in every bite are animal protein. They are grain free and low in fat as well, because a daily treat has to earn its place in their day without unbalancing it. The Active Ingredients We Did Not Change
These are the ingredients that do the work in every one of our cat dental treats:
- Seaweed (Ascophyllum nodosum) works through your cat's saliva, so it reaches the places a toothbrush never could, helping fight plaque and tartar build-up every day
- Zinc helps reduce the bacteria behind plaque and the smell that comes with it
- Green tea extract and vitamin C support healthy gums, which is where most trouble in a cat's mouth actually begins
- Cellulose adds the gentle scrubbing that gets into the gum line for a deeper clean

Once every change was made, there was only one thing left to do. I could tell you the new bites are better, but cats are not famous for accepting someone else's opinion, so we handed judging duties over to our community and their kitties.

How to Build a Daily Cat Dental Care Routine
Cats are very good at hiding a sore mouth, which is why a daily routine matters so much for cat dental health. Over 70% of cats show signs of dental disease by the age of three, Australian Veterinary Association (AVA), and plaque begins hardening into tartar within days, so consistency is what keeps you ahead of it.
Give Cat Dental Bites daily, based on your cat's weight:
- 2 to 5kg · 3 to 4 bites
- 5 to 7kg · 4 to 8 bites
- Over 8kg · 10 bites
To elevate their dental routine, add a Cat Dental Topper over their dinner.
A few things worth knowing. These are for adult cats, so not for kittens under 6 months just yet. They are a treat rather than a meal, so they sit alongside your cat's usual complete and balanced food rather than replacing it. Stay close while they eat, the way you would with anything new.
