Frequently Asked Questions
Meat goes in first, always. Ours are 38% chicken or lamb meal plus 10% beef liver, with real apple or carrot and pre + postbiotics for a happy gut. No grains, no nasties. Everything's on the bag, and we reckon you should read it.
Most do. We handed Snug Healthy Treats to 53 dogs for 14 days straight. 89% ate the Lamb with Carrot every single day, and 79% "really enjoyed" or "loved" them. About one in six owners told us, unprompted, their dog was fussy.
Yes. Bite-sized, so there's nothing to break up mid-session, just hand them out one after another. Sit, treat. Stay, treat. Count them as part of your dog's daily food and check the feeding guide on the pack. Made for snacking, used for bribery.
Go by the feeding guide on the back of the pack, it's set by your dog's weight.
Up to 10kg: 3–4 treats a day.
10kg–25kg: 4–9 treats a day.
Above 25kg: 10 treats a day.
As a rule of paw, treats should be no more than 10% of what your dog eats in a day. These are made for everyday treating, alongside a complete & balanced diet.
Yes, both recipes. Tapioca starch does the binding instead of wheat, corn or rice. Not every dog needs to go grain free, but if yours does better without it, that's one less label to squint at.
Prebiotics feed the good bacteria in your dog's gut. Postbiotics are what those good bacteria make. Together, they help keep a healthy gut ticking along as part of a normal diet. Ours come from inulin (chicory root) and fermented yeast.
Yes, from 4 months old. Start with one or two and see how they go. Puppy tummies are small, so count treats as part of their daily food, not on top of it.
Two: Chicken with Apple, and Lamb with Carrot. Both come in a 100g bag, both are grain free, and both have pre + postbiotics in every treat.
Snug dog treats are proudly Aussie made.
